Norman Allen
Born March 11 1918 ~ Died July 1929 Northampton
Born in Hansworth in 1918 the eldest son of Ernest and Gladys Allen. He spent most of his life in Handsworth and Brian remembers his coming home from buying sweets down the road and saying: '...Mrs Brierley is a very nice lady she's crossed the gob off gobstoppers!' The family moved to Northampton in 1929, when he was 11, and he died that summer from peritonitis.
